Leadership

Red-B was founded by Bill Beasley, a native North Carolina resident.  Bill has Mechanical Engineering and Math degrees from Duke University.  He worked for 14-years with Sumitomo Electric as a Design Engineer, Field Engineer, and ultimately Director of Product Management and Marketing overseeing a $250 million business unit. During his time with Sumitomo, Bill was one of the industry's foremost experts on Fiber-to-the-home.

Today, as owner of Red-B Construction, Bill plays an active role in the construction of every home.  As the project manager and supervisor,  Bill reduces layers of communication often found with other builders, ensuring all needs of the home owner are met in a cost effective manner.

Bill is also the founder and Executive Director of Green Home Council, a non-profit organization based in Durham with the mission of proliferating green building in the residential home building industry.  The Green Home Council serves its mission through building professional education, consumer awareness and certification of homes against a national green building standard.

When he is not building houses, Bill enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children, ocean sailing and fine woodworking.
